It’s not always easy to come up with lunchbox ideas for fussy children. This post has you covered though!
5 lunchbox ideas for fussy children
Finding lunchbox ideas that your children will actually can be tricky especially if they’re fussy eaters! Here are 5 ideas you can try.
Okay so this is the obvious choice for lunchboxes isn’t it! But sometimes just mixing up the filling can encourage your child to eat their lunch. They may be bored of the usual flavours so try thinking outside the box! You could also switch up the bread you use. Try part baked rolls or making some bread together with your child.
If you’re children aren’t fans of sandwiches then maybe pasta is the way to go. You can make simple pasta salads by mixing cooked pasta with some grated cheese, mixed veggies and sauce. If your child isn’t a fan of sauce then just keep the pasta dry, or drizzle it with a little olive oil. This can be a great way to get some extra veggies into your childs diet as well.
Do it yourself lunch
The shop bought Lunchables can work out so expensive, why not try making your child their own DIY lunch? Get some crackers, chop up some ham and cheese slices and pop them in a pot for your child to stack at lunch time. Not only does this work out cheaper but you have a little more control over what your child is eating.
Do your children love fajitas? If so then you might like to try offering your child a wrap for lunch! You could add any sandwich flavour you like such as ham, cheese, jam or chocolate spread.
Mix it up
If you’re child is getting bored easily then try mixing up what you give them each day. Choose a different idea for each day to prevent them getting bored.
